The Board of Directors and Management of the Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Lilian Bazaale as the new COUNTRY PROGRAMME MANAGER based at the EAGC Uganda Country Office in Kampala, Uganda.
Lilian joins EAGC from ABC Capital Bank, Uganda where she was the Business Development and Customer Relationship Manager. She was previously the Country Coordinator of the African Farmers Service Centre in Uganda, and also served as the Head, Agricultural Banking with the Stanbic Bank Uganda and has also worked for Grofin Uganda and DFCU Bank.
A graduate of Makerere University, Uganda, Lilian holds a BSc Agricultural Economics degree, an MBA from Edinburg Business School, Heriot Watt, University of Scotland and a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management from the Uganda Management Institute.
Please join me in welcoming Lilian to the EAGC fraternity as we look forward to her contributions in driving forward the EAGC mandate of promoting Structure Trading Systems with defined rules of trade, harmonised standards and policies and increased transparency and efficiency to enhance regional grain and staples foods trade and improve on food security in the region.
Lilian’s strong background in the financial services sector will be an added strength to the EAGC efforts in implementing warehouse receipt systems in Uganda and utilization by EAGC members and other stakeholders of the Uganda Commodity Exchange (UCE) trading platforms and infrastructure.
