The grain stakeholders laud COMESA for eliminating barriers to trade and allowing movement of commodities without borders.

The Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) has lauded COMESA for eliminating the barriers to regional trade and putting measures in place for linking farmers to markets.

This was said during the recent signing of the COMESA Regional CAADP Compact which was signed on 14th November 2014 in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo. EAGC was at the meeting as a key signatory to the regional CAADP Compact, as a private sector representative.
