Violet V. Vugutsa
Country Programs Manager
Violet joined EAGC on 3rd March 2016 as GBI (then called EAGI) Manager, a position she held until her recent redesignation to Country Programs Manager Kenya. She holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Extension and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Extension both from Egerton University, Kenya. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Agricultural and Rural Innovations Studies. Violet is responsible for providing overall leadership and co-ordination of EAGC at country level.
Howard Oyando Mugera
Programs Officer – STS
Howard joined EAGC on 3rd October 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness Management and Trade (Kenyatta University) and is currently pursuing his Masters in Business Administration (University of Nairobi). He has previously worked with Western Seed Company and Amanbo Kenya. Howard is responsible for facilitating and forging market linkages in the local and international markets.
Kipyegon Kipkemei
Field Officer
Kipyegon Kipkemei joined EAGC on 1st December 2014. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Economic and Resource Management from Moi University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA 2). He has previously worked as a Personal Banker and Customer Service Advisor at Consolidated Bank, Agric Chains Development Limited as an Agribusiness Advisor. He is responsible for implementing the field activities related to post-harvest handling practices, grain aggregation/bulking, identification of certifiable warehouses, market linkages and market information in the North Rift, Kenya.
Sammy Kipsang
Field Officer
Sammy joined EAGC on 4th December 2016. He is responsible for implementing the field activities related to post-harvest handling practices, grain aggregation/bulking, identification of certifiable warehouses, market linkages and market information in the Upper Eastern, Kenya. Kipsang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management and Trade from Kenyatta University. He was previously a Demonstration Plot Assistant during the 2016 EAGC Agribusiness Expo in Nakuru.
James Kuria
Field Officer
James is is a graduate of Moi University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics and Resource Management. He has previously worked at Seed Savers Network as an Agricultural Extension Officer and Project Officer. He is responsible for implementing the field activities related to post-harvest handling practices, grain aggregation/bulking, identification of certifiable warehouses, market linkages and market information in the Central Rift, Kenya.
George Sila
Field officer
George Sila holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics and Resource management from Moi University. He has previously worked with Kenya Promotion and Marketing Company (KPMC) as a Project Manager and Green Forest Foods as a Field Officer. He is responsible for implementing the field activities related to post-harvest handling practices, grain aggregation/bulking, identification of certifiable warehouses, market linkages and market information in the Lower Eastern, Kenya.
