Davine Minayo
Country Program Manager
Ms Davine Minayo is currently the Country Program Manager for Kenya at the Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC).Before this position, Davine served as a Market Linkages Officer and Field Officer at EAGC.She is an accomplished Agribusiness Specialist with an interest in Agricultural Development, having worked in the Agribusiness sector for over seven years. At EAGC, Davine has been instrumental in the Strengthening and Implementation of the Warehouse Receipting System (WRS) in Kenya; a trading model that allows farmers to get more value from their harvest by using their grain as collateral. Ms Davine has a degree in Agribusiness Management from Egerton University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from Jommo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
Howard Oyando Mugera
Programs Officer – STS
Howard joined EAGC on 3rd October 2016. He has four years’ experience in Agribusiness Trade and Management focusing on Sales and Marketing activities in addition to digital commerce. He has previously worked at Western Seed Company and Amanbo Kenya.
Kipyegon Kipkemei
Field Officer
Kipyegon Kipkemei is the Field Officer North Rift. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Economic and Resource Management from Moi University and Certified Public Accounts, CPA 2. He worked as a Personal Banker and Customer Service Advisor at Consolidated Bank from January to May 2013 before joining Agric Chains Development Limited as an Agribusiness Advisor where he was working previously before joining the Council.
Sammy Kipsang
Field Officer
Sammy joined EAGC on 4th December 2016. He will be responsible for implementing the field activities related to post-harvest handling practices, grain aggregation/bulking, identification of certifiable warehouses, market linkages and market information in the Upper Eastern part of Kenya. His roles and duties will contribute to the execution of the Kenya strategy and work plan. Kipsang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management and Trade from Kenyatta University. He was previously a Demonstration Plot Assistant during the 2016 EAGC Agribusiness Expo in Nakuru.
James Kuria
Field Officer
James is currently a Field Officer – Central Rift. He is a graduate of Moi University with a BSc. degree in Agricultural Economics and Resource Management. He has previously worked at Seed Savers Network as an Agricultural Extension Officer and later Project Officer.
George Sila
Field officer
George Sila holds a Bachelor Degree of Science in Agricultural Economics and Resource management from Moi University. He has worked (KPMC) Kenya Promotion and Marketing Company as a Project Manager and Green Forest Foods as a Field Officer.
