Ikunda Terry
Country Program Manager
Ikunda Terry joined EAGC as the Country Program Manager in Tanzania. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology and Masters of Business Administration in Agribusiness from Sokoine University of Agriculture. He is an Agribusiness specialist who has worked in agribusiness private sector for more than 5 years. He was previously working with National Network of small-scale farmers groups in Tanzania (MVIWATA) before joining the Council.
Brendan J. Rugangira
Accounts and Administration Officer
Brendan J. Rugangira has previously worked with various organizations in the private and public sector including Sunny Safaris, Gadgetronix and Tanzania Electrical Supply Company Limited. He holds a diploma in Accountancy and a Bachelor degree in Accountancy from the Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA).
Sharifa Chikaha
Program Officer
Sharifa is a graduate of Sokoine University of Agriculture. She studied Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness. She has previously worked with the Private Agricultural Sector Support (PASS-Morogoro) and Tanzania Agricultural Productivity Program (TAPP-USAID- Morogoro).
Junior S. Ndesanjo
Program Officer
Junior S. Ndesanjo is a graduate from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) holding a Bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness. He has previously worked with Private Agricultural Sector Support (PASS) and the Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Cooperatives (MAFC), attending to societal issues facing our farming community at the local and national level.
Ledis Yohanes Kigala
Program Officer
Ledis joined EAGC in December 2017. He previously worked with MVIWATA (National network of small scale farmer groups in Tanzania) in Kyela District. He joined MVIWATA in April 2011. Ledis holds a Master of Science in Agriculture Production Chain Management from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agribussiness from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Morogoro, Tanzania. Ledis is responsible for coordinating and supervising the implementation of the AGRA Ihemi-Ludewa Cluster Project whose goal is to increase incomes and improve market access of smallholder farmers. The Officer will supervise all the field officer stationed in selected regions.
Straton Aloyce Simon
Programs Officer
Straton joined EAGC on 21st November 2017. He has previously worked for Litenga Holding Limited as Manager at Farmers Call Center (FCC) and B2B Associates Company as Operations Manager. Straton has also been engaged as a Graduate Intern with Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) and the Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Cooperatives (MAFC). He holds a Bachelor degree in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Straton is responsible for implementing the AGRA Ihemi-Ludewa Cluster Project in Iringa and Njombe regions of Tanzania whose goal is to increase incomes and improve market access of smallholder farmers.
Prudence Gerald Mushi
Programs Officer
Prudence Gerald Mushi joined EAGC in November 2017 he is a graduate from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) with a Bachelor degree in Rural Development. He has previously worked with Advansmart Business Consultancy as Business Consultant, Sokoine University of Agriculture, and International Potato centre as Research Assistant. Prudence is responsible for effectively and efficiently executing the STS activities that facilitate grain aggregation and storage with the aim of meeting market demand for grain and the approved quality standards
Tully Barden
Graduate Intern
Tully joined EAGC on the 22nd of January 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Studies degree from Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania. She has previously worked as a Research assistance at the Sokoine University of Agriculture and as a Project Coordinator of WEHAF (Widows Encouragement and HIV/AIDS Foundation).
