EAGC is set to host the annual Farmers Agribusiness Fair (ABF) in the Coastal and Central Rift Regions in Kenya. The expos are set to be held in Kalro Mtwapa and at The Eldoret National Polytechnic grounds on the 5th October and 16th November respectively.
The Expos will be part of a series of Business Fairs that are being hosted by EAGC in the country, with the first Expo having been held at the Kenyan Lower Eastern region, in Makueni on 1st June, 2022 at the Makueni Agricultural Training College (ATC), Makueni County. The Agribusiness Fairs feature the theme “Climate Smart Technologies and practices for sustainable livelihoods”.
The key features of the expo will be crop and livestock demonstration units, exhibition arenas, machinery display sections and Business to Business (B2B) meetings. These features will bring on board an extensive range of innovative technologies to address the interlinked challenges of food security and climate change. The B2B is anticipated to facilitate business networking by the various players in the industry and allow engagement on interventions for enhancing the capacity of agribusinesses, drive record sales and eventually create and raise income through sustainable agribusiness development.
The expo also seeks to empower farmers through climate-based knowledge sharing and training on the most recent innovations and technologies for adoption.
