EAGC attended Governor’s Roundtable of the County Government of Kajiado on 29th August, 2022, hosted by His Excellency Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, as a key partner and stakeholder of the County Government. EAGC in partnership with the County are improving Kajiado’s Ngong Market to Smart Market designs through a pilot installation of smart components and e-mobility capabilities at the market.
EAGC has also supported the County Government to develop the Kajiado County Draft Market Management Bill (KCDMB) in alignment with EAGC’s development of the National Public Market Development and Management Strategy, to provide harmonized standards to guide the development and management of markets for ease of access to safe and affordable food.
Additionally, EAGC has partnered with the County to support structured grain trade through the Namanga and Loitoktok Border points through which trade happens between Kenya and Tanzania, to increase food safety in the country.
